Breaking Bad is another show on a long list of shows I have yet to see. That all changed the other night when I saw the first two eps of the series at my BFF’s house.
I have mixed feelings about the show. I mean, it’s funny and interesting and I want to know what happens next, but it’s also at times gross and off putting with the violence. And I say that as someone who can find the funny in violence in cinema and film, but it’s usually of the unrealistic variety (zombies, vampires, and werewolves–oh my!), or at the very least, be cool with viewing it. Devotees will recall what happens in the first few eps when the need to dispose of a body arises and…yeah.
That being said, I have every intention of watching the rest of the eps, and probably seeing this through to the finale. Also, whenever I see Walt walking around in his underwear, I can’t not think of Hal from Malcolm in the Middle, and then wonder what Hal would do if he had cancer with a ticking clock.
In short, the show is riveting!
Other shows I plan to marathon watch (cause I haven’t seen them):
The Walking Dead
True Blood
The Wire (which I’m also wary of cause of the violence, as well as these next two–)
Oz
Sopranos
Breaking Bad is one of my all time favorite shows since I caught up with all the episodes about a year ago. The Walking Dead is great too, but if you really want to be blown away, check out the comics issues 1-60. Stop after that, because you’ll just get pissed off.
Lol, I’ll try to check out the comics. Should I read those first, or watch the show first?
